NOT A SIN El Arvizu

NOT A SIN is a solo exhibition by Latino ceramic artist El Arvizu, featuring seven sculptures inspired by the seven deadly sins. Presented at newsense projects in Lakewood, Ohio, the exhibition explores the relationship between morality, identity, and human nature through ceramic form. Drawing on traditional ceramic techniques and material experimentation, Arvizu transforms familiar moral concepts into sculptural works that invite viewers to reconsider the boundaries between virtue, vice, and personal expression.

Originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, Arvizu developed his artistic practice in Cleveland, Ohio, and is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art. His work reflects a commitment to the possibilities of clay as a medium for exploring complex ideas through material, form, and process.
